About Me

I’m an attorney with a background in social work.

As an attorney with a social work background, I established my practice because I saw a need for an agile, third-party investigator who will adeptly handle sensitive issues surrounding allegations of workplace and school-based impropriety.

  • With close to 20 years of practice as an employment and education attorney, I bring a depth of knowledge and experience to clients conducting investigations into harassment and sexual misconduct involving students, faculty, and staff at all educational levels, from K-12 schools to institutions of higher education. My investigative experience also covers workplace harassment and sexual harassment reports from both frontline employees and those inhabiting the C-suite.

During my career, I’ve served as legal counsel to private schools, non-profit organizations, and corporations, and other institutions with a focus on drafting and reviewing policies and practices covering child abuse and neglect, bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, and boundaries.

I have extensive experience conducting trainings for organizations involving these topics and have presented at conferences throughout the United States.

Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a social worker focused on child welfare, working for county social service agencies in New York City, Oakland and San Francisco, California as a program analyst and contract manager. I’ve collaborated with clinical staff and external evaluators and helped to implement innovative foster care and other supportive services. As an attorney, I am licensed in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

  • I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, a Master of Social Work - with an Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice - and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.
